Q: Why was I charged unexpectedly?
A: This could be due to additional traffic or other services used beyond your plan's allowance. Check the Billing section for details.

Q: What is the refund policy for unused services?
A: Doprax does not offer refunds for unused services. However, you can delete servers to stop further charges.

Q: I have purchased an hourly server. Can I switch to a monthly plan?
A: All servers operate on a pay-as-you-go hourly billing model. As long as you have sufficient credit, the server remains active. Monthly billing is not available.

Q: Why has my account credit spent more than my account cost?
A: Check for extra traffic charges in the Network section of each VM. High usage rates may result in additional charges.

Q: Does the image showing "Unlimited" mean truly unlimited traffic?
A: Yes, but this applies only to OVH. Other providers may have fair usage policies, so check terms of service for limits.

Q: How can I view a detailed breakdown of my charges?
A: View a detailed billing breakdown in the Billing History section of your dashboard.

Q: I want to get a Hetzner VPS, but the traffic costs are high without 20,000 GB. Why?
A: Hetzner’s included traffic varies by location:

  • Germany & Finland: 20TB included

  • USA & Singapore: Only 1TB or 2TB included

Q: Why does Vultr allow more than 1,000GB of traffic?
A: Vultr provides 1TB per month, but there is a daily usage limit. Exceeding it incurs additional charges.

Q: Can a server be switched from hourly billing to a monthly plan?
A: No, all servers are hourly billed. Monthly billing is not available.

Q: What happens if an account runs out of credit?
A:

  • All active servers shut down automatically.

  • After adding credit, servers must be manually restarted from the panel.

Q: Are both upload and download traffic counted toward usage?
A: Yes, both upload and download traffic count toward total bandwidth usage. Track usage in the Network tab.

Q: Can a refund be requested for a mistakenly charged domain?
A: If a domain was charged but not assigned, contact support for a possible refund.

Q: I have added credits, but payment is pending for more than 24 hours. Why?
A: Processing times depend on the payment method. Crypto transactions may take longer. If delay exceeds 24 hours, contact support with the transaction ID.

Q: I charged my account with TRX, but it hasn’t been credited. What should I do?
A: TRX payments usually process within an hour. Check the transaction hash on the blockchain. If confirmed but not reflected, contact support with the transaction details.

Q: I paid using Binance Smart Chain (BNB), but balance hasn’t been added. How can I resolve this?
A: Ensure the correct amount was sent to the designated wallet and confirmed on the blockchain. If deducted but not credited, provide the transaction hash to support.

Q: My Vultr server is consuming my account balance too quickly. Why?
A: Vultr charges hourly, and extra charges apply for bandwidth overages or snapshot storage. Check usage in the billing section.

Q: Does shutting down a server stop billing, or will I still be charged?
A: Shutting down does not stop billing. Resources like CPU, RAM, and storage are still allocated. To stop charges, delete the server.

Q: How is the cost calculated if I stop my server but do not delete it?
A: Maintenance and resource allocation costs are included. The server price applies whether running or stopped.

Q: Why is my balance depleting faster than expected?
A: Fast depletion occurs if you create and delete many VMs quickly. Providers charge a minimum of one hour per VM, even if deleted within minutes.

Q: How is excess bandwidth charged?
A:

  • Hetzner: $2 per extra TB

  • DigitalOcean & Vultr: $20 per extra TB
Billing is based on total usage, not daily limits.

Q: Why is my traffic deducted faster even though I didn’t use it all?
A: Bandwidth is calculated on a 30-day rolling window. If consumption is faster than average, the system pre-deducts temporarily. Unused balance is refunded automatically when average usage normalizes.
